Dr. Jennifer L. Abel is a clinical psychologist, international speaker, and author with over 25 years of specializing in the nature and treatment of anxiety. She utilizes an integrative approach employing primarily cognitive-behavioral treatment (CBT), while integrating mindfulness, schema therapy, experiential therapies, and uses many elements of DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). Dr. Jen's expertise is primarily in the treatment of worry and generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), however, she is very adept and experienced in treating and speaking about panic attacks, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), work stress, performance anxiety, phobias, depression and insomnia. Above all, her approach is pragmatic.

After retiring for over three years to focus on a speaking career, she decided to open a small teletherapy practice in the spring of 2022. Because she will see no more than 10 people per week, she can provide better focus on you than someone seeing 20-40 people/week.

While results vary, most people who see Dr. Jen get rapid relief and usually do not need long-term therapy. This is because she provides easy to apply effective strategies that do not require a great deal of time out of your busy schedule.

She does require completion of two forms and a credit or debit card to schedule an appointment. This saves valuable time during your first session.
